Each of us face giants in our lives at different times. Sometimes our giants seem like impossible obstacles to overcome, and they are, if we merely rely on our own power and strength when facing them. In doing so, we are oftentimes defeated before we even begin, but it doesn’t have to stay this way; when we know as Christians, that we have the Spirit of GOD indwelling us, and there is nothing impossible when we are doing the things that GOD approves of.
Any time we choose to walk by faith in the LORD GOD and do those things that GOD approves of, then nothing is impossible to overcome and do. What does GOD approve of? Read The Word of GOD — The Holy Bible, because it is here that we learn from GOD those things that HE approves of, and also, those things that GOD does not approve of.

Philippians 4:12-13 King James Version (KJV)
“12 I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: every where and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need.
13 I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.”
Philippians 4:12-13 GOD’S WORD Translation (GW)
“12 I know how to live in poverty or prosperity. No matter what the situation, I’ve learned the secret of how to live when I’m full or when I’m hungry, when I have too much or when I have too little. 13 I can do everything through Christ who strengthens me. ”

The Word of GOD makes it perfectly clear to us, that a kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation. A house divided against a house shall not stand. What does this mean, and what does this mean for us today.

Matthew 12:25 (King James Version)
“And Jesus knew their thoughts, and said unto them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and every city or house divided against itself shall not stand:”
The definition of “Desolation” according to Dictionary.com means: Devastation; ruin.

How you get rich might destroy you has already been a reality to so many people around the world and it could happen to us if we don’t understand what can cause our destruction.
Getting rich is oftentimes found on nearly every bucket list of millions or billions of people around the world. Most people believe that by getting rich then their wealth will make them happy, because having money will buy happiness in things like mansions, luxury cars, exotic travel, friends and love interests. Yes, many times money can buy most of these things, but money cannot buy ultimate happiness.
Now getting rich doesn’t always lead to destruction in every case, but for many really rich people — having a more money than they can ever spend can become a major burden in so many ways. Never really being able to trust people, because they don’t know if these people are really their true friends or just hanging around because of their wealth. Worrying about criminals wanting to steal or even kill to take their money away from them. Doing all that they can to keep their money and the power that money can often buy them becomes a full time job. These things don’t sound like happiness to us.
Have you ever heard the saying “Money is the root of all evil”? Well, we have too. But, is this saying the truth or a lie or just simply repeated out its original context? The place where the original statement is found, is in The Holy Bible. Do you know what the statement really says?

Are we all the children of GOD? This is the question and The Holy Bible gives us the answer.
For quite sometime, we have heard from some pastors, priests, popes and common Christians…that we are all GOD’S children, but does The Holy Bible really teach this concept, or has mankind used a scriptural teaching out of context. Well, I know that The Word of GOD teaches something completely different than what many people in this world want us to believe. And, the answer may offend many, but the Truth is the Truth.

Jesus Loves You, and so do we at Deuteronomy117.
Edosa Osas asked this question on Facebook: “Why should we read The Word of GOD”
Answered by Nelson Doyle (Deuteronomy117) through the Power of the Holy Spirit:
There are many good reasons why not only reading The Word of GOD is important to do, but more importantly knowing what GOD’S heart and thoughts are that is revealed to us through HIS Word.
* The Word of GOD reveals His grace He has sent into the world as it was revealed to us (Man) through Jesus Christ, the SON of GOD.
* The Word of GOD reveals to Man the love GOD has toward us, and GOD’S plan for Salvation.
* The Word of GOD teaches us how we are to worship GOD — In Spirit and in Truth (John 4:24 “God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.”)
What it means to worship in Spirit, we must first understand the nature and the fruits of the Spirit, and then must be willing to walk in them — The Holy Spirit will make it easy to do if we are willing to let GOD through HIS Spirit to have complete dominion of our lives, thoughts and actions…(The Fruit of the Spirit) Galatians 5:22-23 “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.”
What is Truth? This is the very same question that Pilate (John 18:38) once asked Jesus. Jesus answered this question before Pilate asked it of Him…John 18:37 “Pilate therefore said unto him, Art thou a king then? Jesus answered, Thou sayest that I am a king. To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth. Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice.”
Jesus reveals to us plainly who He is in John 14:6 “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. ” Jesus is “the Truth”, not a truth, but “the Truth”…In the first chapter and the first verse of The Book of John, GOD reveals to us plainly the WORD is GOD…John 1:1 “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.”
The world believes that The Holy Bible is nothing more than a collection of fairytales, a history book or just another collection of stories of just another religion that is out in the world, but for those of us who know GOD through GOD’S only begotten SON Jesus Christ; we as children of GOD know our Father’s voice through The Word of GOD, we know that The WORD of GOD is the Truth.
When thinking upon Jesus Christ, the world sees Jesus as a religious teacher, some see him as a prophet, but the world at large do not know him as The WORD made flesh (John 1:14 “And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.”) as we who are his children through the precious Blood of Jesus know our Heavenly Father.
Jesus Christ was not only fully Man (human) as we are, but Jesus Christ was also fully GOD. Jesus came into the world through a virgin birth thus Jesus was not born by the Will of the flesh (through human procreation) thus Jesus was not born with the fallen sin nature that began with the fall of Adam and passed along to every man, woman and child through the seed of man, but Jesus Christ came into the world by the Will of GOD as we learn through GOD’S WORD in:
Matthew 1:18-20 King James Version (KJV)
“18 Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost.
19 Then Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not willing to make her a public example, was minded to put her away privily.
20 But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost.”
Now, The Word of GOD (the Truth) later reveals who exactly sent Him into the world when we read John 10:29-30 “29 My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father’s hand. 30 I and my Father are one.”
We could go on and on, throughout the Scriptures from both the old and the new testaments, how GOD through His Word (Jesus) reveals Himself to Man, but none of this means anything to anyone who has rejected The Word of GOD as The Truth. And, even though, the Word of GOD means nothing to those who don’t believe, accept and receive The Word of GOD has The Truth that GOD sent into the world; the Truth remains the Truth regardless what any man thinks about it.
Thus, it is written, in The Book of Philippians:
“If there be therefore any consolation in Christ, if any comfort of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any bowels and mercies,
2 Fulfil ye my joy, that ye be likeminded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind.
3 Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves.
4 Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others.
5 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:
6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:
7 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:
8 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.
9 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:
10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;
11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”
GOD desires every believer to worship Him in Spirit and in Truth. This has nothing to do with religious traditions of men, or of Christian dominations (Baptists, Catholics, or the multitudes of other man made identities/domination labels that Christians identify themselves as being part of, because the only identity that a born-again Christian should follow is Jesus Christ, because only through the precious Blood of Jesus Christ can a man be saved, and no one is saved by a particular domination or a particular man made church tradition.)
* The WORD of GOD is important to read, listen to and understand, because without it, any man…woman or child will most certainly believe and follow any false prophet or corrupt doctrine that Satan uses to lead astray a lost and fallen world of mankind from The Truth and from the only Saviour that GOD sent into the world by which a man can be saved.
Saved from what end? GOD has put His SON Jesus Christ in charge of Judgement, for those of us who have been forgiven for our sins and Saved through the precious Blood of Jesus….we will be judged at the Judgement Seat of Christ, but as for the unredeemed lost souls who had rejected Jesus Christ as their SAVIOR and LORD, the will appear at the Great White Throne Judgement where they will be judge according to their own works done in their bodies, and anyone who’s name isn’t found in the Lamb’s Book of Life will be cast bodily into the Lake of Fire where they will be tormented and separated from GOD’S presence for all eternity, and eternity is forever and forever.
There are many, many other important reasons why The Word of GOD is important to read, listen to and follow in our daily lives, but the above are just a few of the most important reasons why we can fully, completely trust and put our Faith in The Word of GOD, for it is The Truth…it is GOD’S heart and mind revealed to us through the written Word of GOD. Just as GOD revealed Himself to us through His only begotten SON Jesus Christ; GOD continues to communicate His heart and thoughts to us through The Word of GOD as it has been recorded in The Book of Life or what we have access to today The Holy Bible.
If Jesus were standing among us today in the flesh; it is a certainty that everything that He would say to us will not contradict in any way from what is written in The Holy Bible (The Word of GOD). GOD does not contradict Himself. GOD cannot lie.
I hope that this reply has been able to shine some light on your question Edosa Osas . I pray that GOD will open your understanding of GOD’S Word through the Holy Spirit, in Jesus Christ, Amen.

GOD’S Salvation plan did not come due to our works, but came through the finished work of Jesus Christ, who was crucified on the Cross and died for our sins, was buried in an empty tomb, and GOD raised Jesus from the dead on the third day. There is no other name by which a man can be saved — Jesus is The Way, The Truth and The Life.
There are not many ways, paths or gods by which sins are forgiven and souls are saved from death and hell. There is only but one way and one name by which a man or woman or child can be saved, and his name is JESUS CHRIST, the only begotten SON of GOD, the Savior of everyone who will repent (turn away from living for themselves/Sin) and turning their heart, life, mind and soul to JESUS CHRIST as LORD and SAVIOR.
So many church dominations and pastors have either misunderstood The Word of GOD or have abandoned the Truth entirely, by teaching that people can earn salvation through good works or by keeping the Law of Moses “The 10 Commandments”. The Word of GOD does not teach that there is additional ways to receive salvation apart from believing and receiving Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. Our works does not have the power to save us from our sins and GOD’S judgement, and the Law was not giving to the world to save sinners from Death and Hell, but to reveal to the world that we are all sinners in need of a Savior in Jesus Christ.
Many pastors and church dominations refer to The Book of James and more specifically to James 2:18 (“But someone will say, “You have faith, and I have works.” Show me your faith without your works, and I will show you my faith by my works.”) and teach that faith is not important and that works are necessary to be saved. But, to believe this than a person will have to dismiss almost the entirety of The Word of GOD, because both Grace and Faith are taught to us by GOD the Father, the SON of GOD Jesus Christ and through the Power of the Holy Spirit hundreds of other times.
(Our works are the result of our Faith: Our Faith is not the result of our works.)
James 2:18 “But someone will say, “You have faith, and I have works.” Show me your faith without your works, and I will show you my faith by my works.”
Reading the Scripture closely and we learn what is being truly taught. What is being taught to us, is that James is challenging people who believe that the works that they do will be counted by GOD as justification to obtaining salvation apart from trusting entirely on the Grace of GOD that leads solely to Faith in the finished work of Jesus Christ on the Cross. James is pointing out that if these people who have put their trust in their own works for salvation then true faith does not exist in them.
James further points out to the people, that his Faith does not exist because of any works, but any works that is accomplished through him is a result of his Faith. James being a believer and a follower of Jesus Christ, recognizes that he (James) is nothing and can accomplish no good work apart from the finished work that Jesus Christ did on the Cross to save James from the death sentence of sin that abided on him until the sin debt was paid in full.
Jesus Christ paid with his own blood (life) on the Cross the sin debt of every man, woman and child who had lived, who was living at the time, and who would ever live throughout all of world history. GOD the Father will forgive every single sin no matter how bad the sins are, of every person who will simply confess to GOD with their mouth that they are a sinner and believe (truly believe) that Jesus Christ is the SON of GOD, who was crucified and died on the Cross to save them from their sins, who was buried in the tomb, and on the third day…GOD raised Jesus Christ from the dead and now Jesus Christ is seated with GOD the Father on the Throne in Heaven. If you will believe (completely Trust) in Jesus Christ alone for your salvation then GOD is faithful to forgive you for all of your sins, cleansing you with the precious blood of Jesus washing your sins away, and then clothing you in white garments (with the righteousness) of His only begotten SON Jesus Christ, and give you Eternal Life (the Holy Spirit). There is no other way to be Saved.
Let no man or woman fool you in believing that there are other ways apart from the Grace of GOD through Faith in Jesus Christ alone to be Saved from your sins, eternal death and Hell.
Hear the word of the LORD:
Ephesians 2:8-10 “For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast. For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.”
Ephesians 3:19-21 “to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.”
Acts 4:1-12 New King James Version (NKJV)
Peter and John Arrested
“Now as they spoke to the people, the priests, the captain of the temple, and the Sadducees came upon them, being greatly disturbed that they taught the people and preached in Jesus the resurrection from the dead. And they laid hands on them, and put them in custody until the next day, for it was already evening. However, many of those who heard the word believed; and the number of the men came to be about five thousand.
Addressing the Sanhedrin
And it came to pass, on the next day, that their rulers, elders, and scribes, as well as Annas the high priest, Caiaphas, John, and Alexander, and as many as were of the family of the high priest, were gathered together at Jerusalem. And when they had set them in the midst, they asked, “By what power or by what name have you done this?”
Then Peter, filled with the Holy Spirit, said to them, “Rulers of the people and elders of Israel: If we this day are judged for a good deed done to a helpless man, by what means he has been made well, let it be known to you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified, whom God raised from the dead, by Him this man stands here before you whole. This is the ‘stone which was rejected by you builders, which has become the chief cornerstone.’ Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.”
Romans 1:16-17 New King James Version (NKJV)
The Just Live by Faith
“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek. For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, “The just shall live by faith.”
Colossians 1 New King James Version (NKJV)
“Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, and Timothy our brother,
To the saints and faithful brethren in Christ who are in Colosse:
Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
Their Faith in Christ
We give thanks to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, praying always for you, since we heard of your faith in Christ Jesus and of your love for all the saints; because of the hope which is laid up for you in heaven, of which you heard before in the word of the truth of the gospel, which has come to you, as it has also in all the world, and is bringing forth fruit, as it is also among you since the day you heard and knew the grace of God in truth; as you also learned from Epaphras, our dear fellow servant, who is a faithful minister of Christ on your behalf, who also declared to us your love in the Spirit.
Preeminence of Christ
For this reason we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to ask that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; that you may walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God; strengthened with all might, according to His glorious power, for all patience and longsuffering with joy; giving thanks to the Father who has qualified us to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in the light. He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love, in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins.
He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him. And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist. And He is the head of the body, the church, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things He may have the preeminence.
Reconciled in Christ
For it pleased the Father that in Him all the fullness should dwell, and by Him to reconcile all things to Himself, by Him, whether things on earth or things in heaven, having made peace through the blood of His cross.
And you, who once were alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now He has reconciled in the body of His flesh through death, to present you holy, and blameless, and above reproach in His sight— if indeed you continue in the faith, grounded and steadfast, and are not moved away from the hope of the gospel which you heard, which was preached to every creature under heaven, of which I, Paul, became a minister.
Sacrificial Service for Christ
I now rejoice in my sufferings for you, and fill up in my flesh what is lacking in the afflictions of Christ, for the sake of His body, which is the church, of which I became a minister according to the stewardship from God which was given to me for you, to fulfill the word of God, the mystery which has been hidden from ages and from generations, but now has been revealed to His saints. To them God willed to make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles: which is Christ in you, the hope of glory. Him we preach, warning every man and teaching every man in all wisdom, that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus. To this end I also labor, striving according to His working which works in me mightily.”
Ephesians 2 New King James Version (NKJV)
By Grace Through Faith
“And you He made alive, who were dead in trespasses and sins, in which you once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience, among whom also we all once conducted ourselves in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, just as the others.
But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, that in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast. For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.
Brought Near by His Blood
Therefore remember that you, once Gentiles in the flesh—who are called Uncircumcision by what is called the Circumcision made in the flesh by hands— that at that time you were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world. But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ.
Christ Our Peace
For He Himself is our peace, who has made both one, and has broken down the middle wall of separation, having abolished in His flesh the enmity, that is, the law of commandments contained in ordinances, so as to create in Himself one new man from the two, thus making peace, and that He might reconcile them both to God in one body through the cross, thereby putting to death the enmity. And He came and preached peace to you who were afar off and to those who were near. For through Him we both have access by one Spirit to the Father.
Christ Our Cornerstone
Now, therefore, you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God, having been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ Himself being the chief cornerstone, in whom the whole building, being fitted together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord, in whom you also are being built together for a dwelling place of God in the Spirit.”
Romans 4 New King James Version (NKJV)
Abraham Justified by Faith
“4 What then shall we say that Abraham our father has found according to the flesh?[a] 2 For if Abraham was justified by works, he has something to boast about, but not before God. 3 For what does the Scripture say? “Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.”[b] 4 Now to him who works, the wages are not counted as grace but as debt.
David Celebrates the Same Truth
5 But to him who does not work but believes on Him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is accounted for righteousness, 6 just as David also describes the blessedness of the man to whom God imputes righteousness apart from works:
“Blessed are those whose lawless deeds are forgiven,
And whose sins are covered;
Blessed is the man to whom the Lord shall not impute sin.”[c]
Abraham Justified Before Circumcision
9 Does this blessedness then come upon the circumcised only, or upon the uncircumcised also? For we say that faith was accounted to Abraham for righteousness. 10 How then was it accounted? While he was circumcised, or uncircumcised? Not while circumcised, but while uncircumcised. 11 And he received the sign of circumcision, a seal of the righteousness of the faith which he had while still uncircumcised, that he might be the father of all those who believe, though they are uncircumcised, that righteousness might be imputed to them also, 12 and the father of circumcision to those who not only are of the circumcision, but who also walk in the steps of the faith which our father Abraham had while still uncircumcised.
The Promise Granted Through Faith
13 For the promise that he would be the heir of the world was not to Abraham or to his seed through the law, but through the righteousness of faith. 14 For if those who are of the law are heirs, faith is made void and the promise made of no effect, 15 because the law brings about wrath; for where there is no law there is no transgression.
16 Therefore it is of faith that it might be according to grace, so that the promise might be sure to all the seed, not only to those who are of the law, but also to those who are of the faith of Abraham, who is the father of us all 17 (as it is written, “I have made you a father of many nations”[d]) in the presence of Him whom he believed—God, who gives life to the dead and calls those things which do not exist as though they did; 18 who, contrary to hope, in hope believed, so that he became the father of many nations, according to what was spoken, “So shall your descendants be.”[e] 19 And not being weak in faith, he did not consider his own body, already dead (since he was about a hundred years old), and the deadness of Sarah’s womb. 20 He did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God, 21 and being fully convinced that what He had promised He was also able to perform. 22 And therefore “it was accounted to him for righteousness.”[f]
23 Now it was not written for his sake alone that it was imputed to him, 24 but also for us. It shall be imputed to us who believe in Him who raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead, 25 who was delivered up because of our offenses, and was raised because of our justification.”

The mindset in postmodernism is that objective truth does not exist. But in post-truth, the person believes that objective truth exists, but they subordinate truth to their preferences, or their comfort. In other words, one doesn’t care that truth exists or what the truth is if it doesn’t line up with one’s preferences. "There is but one straight course, and that is to seek truth and pursue it steadily" - George Washington letter to Edmund Randolph — 1795. Faith in Jesus Christ is our response to God's elective purpose in our life. These two truths--God's initiative and man's response--co-exist throughout the Bible. The gospel is "the message of truth" because truth is its predominant characteristic. Salvation was conceived by the God of truth (Ps. 31:5); purchased by the Son, who is the truth (John 14:6); and is applied by the Spirit of truth (John 16:13). To know it is to know the truth that sets men free (John 8:32). Believers are people of the truth (John 18:37), who worship God in spirit and in truth (John 4:24), and who obey the Word of truth (John 17:17). People have rejected, neglected, redefined, and opposed God’s truth for centuries. Some cynically deny that truth even exists or that it can be known by men (John 18:38). Others foolishly think that denying truth will somehow make it go away. Truth determines the validity of one's belief. Believing a lie doesn't make it true. Conversely, failing to believe the truth doesn't make it a lie. The gospel is true because Jesus is true, not simply because Christians believe in Him. His resurrection proved the truth of His claims and constitutes the objective basis of our faith (Rom. 1:4; 1 Pet. 1:3). Truth is our protection and strength (Eph. 6:14). Throughout history, people have tried everything imaginable to gain favor with God. Most turn to religion, but religion apart from Christ is merely a satanic counterfeit of the truth. At the heart of every false religion is the notion that man can come to God by any means he chooses--by meditating, doing good deeds, and so on. But Scripture says, "There is no other name under heaven that has been given among men, by which we must be saved" (Acts 4:12). That name is Jesus Christ, and we come to Him by confessing and repenting of our sin, trusting in His atoning death on the cross, and affirming His bodily resurrection from the grave (cf. Rom. 10:9-10). There is no other way to God. False religious leaders and teachers talk much about God’s love, but not His wrath and holiness; much about how deprived of good things people are, but not about their depravity; much about God’s universal fatherhood toward everyone, but not much about his unique fatherhood toward all who believe in His Son; much about what God wants to give to us, but nothing about the necessity of obedience to Him; much about health and happiness, but nothing about holiness and sacrifice. Their message is full of gaps, the greatest of which leaves out a biblical worldview of the saving gospel and replaces it with the worldview of postmodernism with its dominant ethical system of relativism. The Bible describes mankind in the end times: “always learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth” (2 Tim. 3:7). Spiritual answers cannot be deduced by human reason alone (1 Cor. 2:14). It’s not that spiritual truth is irrational or illogical, but that human wisdom is defective, because it’s tainted by man’s sinfulness, and unable to perceive the things of God. That is why the Bible is so important. It gives us the answers we can’t find on our own. It is God’s Word to mankind. Scripture is divinely revealed truth that fills the vacuum of spiritual ignorance in all of us. Post-truth is the word of the year for 2016 and also the philosophy of the day, According to the dictionary, “post-truth” means, “relating to or denoting circumstances in which objective facts are less influential in shaping public opinion than appeals to emotion and personal belief.” Simply put, we now live in a culture that seems to value experience and emotion more than truth. In a “post-truth” world, people make choices based on emotion and experience rather than objective fact. So in a post-truth world, truth is irrelevant. What exactly is a post-truth culture? It’s a culture where truth is no longer an objective reality. It has become subjective. It’s what’s true for me—my beliefs, my opinions, determine my truth. So in our post-truth culture, man determines truth. Man makes himself the ultimate authority. This starting point, which rejects God’s Word and the idea of moral absolutes, makes truth subjective. Truth will never go away no matter how hard one might wish. Christianity is grounded in objective truth. “And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free” (John 8:32). Objective truth exists because we have God’s Word. In the Gospel of John, Jesus says, “Sanctify them by Your truth. Thy word is truth” (John 17:17), and Paul and James describe the Bible as “the word of truth” (2 Timothy 2:15; James 1:18). The Psalmist says, “The entirety of your word is truth” (Psalm 119:160). Jesus Himself said, “For this cause I was born, and for this cause I have come into the world, that I should bear witness to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth hears My voice” (John 18:37). When Jesus said, “I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No one comes to the Father except by me” (John 14:6), He wasn’t expressing His personal belief or opinion. He was speaking the truth, a fundamental reality that doesn’t change from person to person. It doesn’t matter if our culture thinks all roads lead to God. The truth of the matter is “no one comes to the Father but by [Jesus].” This blogs goal is to, in some small way, put a plug in the broken dam of truth and save as many as possible from the consequences—temporal and eternal. "The further a society drifts from truth, the more it will hate those who speak it." - George Orwell
"For I rejoiced greatly when brethren came and testified of the truth that is in you, just as you walk in the truth" (III John 3).
